I work as a political scientist at the University of Zurich, Switzerland. My main research interests lie at the intersection between political economy, comparative politics and political sociology. In both my recently defended dissertation and ongoing projects, I study the political consequences of technological innovation and occupational change in post-industrial societies. I am particularly interested in how relative changes in economic well-being affect political behavior and how the middle class responds to a rapidly changing employment structure.
During my Ph.D., I have been Visiting Researcher at the European University Institute and Junior Visiting Scholar at Nuffield College, Oxford. Please see my full CV for more information.
Beginning in September 2018, I will join the Weatherhead Research Cluster on Global Populism at Harvard University.
